Hello, I am new to the community. While my first impressions are generally good I have some suggestions for the arma three server. When I originally joined this server I imagined it would be similar to crazy mike’s exile server, http://www.exilemod.com/servers/exile-ap...arus-r786/, with loot being hard to find and getting good gear tough, therefore making survival a challenge. I know these changes would be hard to implement, but keep in mind this is just a suggestion.
In Mike’s server guns have a chance to spawn with one or no mag, I think this would be great on your server for military weapons making them harder to maintain, though maby make it that civilian weapons have a higher chance of spawning with mags and standalone mags more common to incentivise players into taking these weapons. On the subject of civilian weapons, what weapons should spawn in houses? I recommend shotguns and pistols primarily and maby bolt action/sporting rifles and some smgs. I will list some mod suggestions later. Back to military weapons,I think Russian weapons Should be more common as there are fewer attachments and Russia was on the island first. I think that assault rifles, primarily the AK-74 line should be the most common and you should make ammo and attachments such as the kobra more common. LMGs and snipers should be a treat to find.
In Mike’s server vehicles are hard to come by, they have to be repaired with a foolbox and other components, on vehicles you can fix individual systems such as tires, engine, and fuel tank. With your server being RP, I think that vehicles should be more common along with their parts, but they still should require different components to fix them. Also I believe there is a mod/plugin that allows you to attach code locks to cars to protect them.
In Mike’s server there is only basic supplies at trader, and no vehicles, to substitute for this he added the marXet plugin witch allows players to put their own find up for sale, creating a ever-changing player based economy. For your server I think you should only sell basic items, ammo, non military clothes, and bicycles/quad bikes. The rest would be determined by the marXet.
In Mike’s server everything you find has a crafting use, and some items are only attainable by crafting, such as furniture, and these things require blueprints found by looting. I think this would be a great addition to the server making it feel more survivaly.
In conclusion, I know this is not crazy mike’s server and you may have a vision for your server different than mine, but if my suggestions interested you, play on crazy mikes server and get the feel of it, that's what I want this server to become.
